Committee Involvement: Why Should I Join?

Looking to build your resume? Want to add unique campaign materials to your portfolio? Ready to put what you’re learning in class into action? Want to network and make friends in the field of public relations? Well, this is the blog for you! There are many ways to get involved in the PRSSA chapter, but the best way to gain PR experience and hone particular skills is by joining one of our many committees. These committees range from a fundraising event committee to an advocacy and awareness campaign committee. Joining one, or more, of these committees gives members the opportunity to broaden their portfolio of work, boost their resumes, network among peers, and learn more about the public relations field and what it entails.

My summer with MEDC

The Moundsville Economic Development Council consists of all tours, events, haunted house, and programs involving the penitentiary. It also is involved with partnering with Moundsville Convention and Visitors Bureau. These organizations keep tourism around Moundsville to a very high standard.
