WVU's PRSSA chapter has been recognized for having an outstanding chapter as well as outstanding members. Below is a list of awards the chapter has received since 2009:

2018: PRSSA Digital Engagement Chair Andrés Warren was awarded the Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship from The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations 

2017: PRSSA Chapter of the Year Award from the West Virginia Chapter of PRSA

2016: Crystal Award for Outstanding PRSSA Chapter from the West Virginia Chapter of PRSA

2015: Crystal Award for Outstanding PRSSA Chapter from the West Virginia Chapter of PRSA 

2013: STAR Chapter Award from PRSSA National.

2013: Chapter Development Award from PRSSA National.

2013: 3rd Place PR Serving America Award from PRSA National.

2013: Crystal Award for Outstanding PRSSA Chapter from the West Virginia Chapter of PRSA

2013: First runner-up, Student Organization of the Year at West Virginia University

2013: PRSSA President Brittany Lavenski was honored with the $2,000 Bob O’Gara Student Scholarship Renaissance Award from the Pittsburgh Chapter of PRSA

2012: PRSSA Officer Kelli Snedegar was honored with the $2,000 Bob O’Gara Student Scholarship Renaissance Award from the Pittsburgh Chapter of PRSA

2011: Student Organization of the Year at West Virginia University

2011: PRSSA Member Lindsay Bailey was awarded the $2,000 Bob O’Gara Student Scholarship Renaissance Award from the Pittsburgh Chapter of PRSA

2009: National Teahan Award for Community Service
